Aalt Jouk van den Hul is mostly known for his great pickup cartridges but also makes a huge variety of cables and in the meantime makes about 90% of his turnover with cables.

We got into a conversation about headphones and recording because he made numerous recordings that are all highly acclaimed. He told me that he always uses headphones during recording sessions to eleiminate unpredictable room influence while evaluating the sound quality.

I already knew that he has been using two of my phono stage for more than four years now. What I didn't know and what might be more important for headphone listeners is that he will launch a line of headphone cables that feature a very high ruggedness _and_ a very high level of sonic performance.
