German public radio
The
IFA has alwas been a platform for new technical developments very
often by the German public television and German public radio. 
This
year German public radio launched a new high quality digital satellite
radio broadcasting system so that all German public radio stations
(between 50 - 70 stations) can be received digitally a set top box.
Main feature is the high data rate of 320KB per second which results
in a very good sonic performance. Some broadcasts are even in 5.1
for surround listening!
People responsible for the show presentation decided that they needed
a high end headphone amp (with high end headphones of course) and
presented the sonic qualities of the new (stereo) radio transmission
with a combination of Black Cube Linear/HD650. They made use of the
Black Cube Linear's ability to drive two headphones at a time.
